You may have specific experiences or difficulties you want to talk about, or you may have a general feeling of things not being right for you at the moment. Whatever your situation, talking therapy may be able to help you understand more about yourself, your relationships with other people and with the world around you.
Counselling and psychotherapy offer you the opportunity to talk with a professional in a confidential, safe and non-judgmental setting. You are able to take time to explore and process aspects of your past, learn to make the most of the present, and think ahead to the future and any changes you may want to make in your life.
Starting counselling can be a daunting prospect, and so it is important you find a counsellor you feel comfortable with. Read about my approach to counselling in the next section to find out more about how I work.
